Budget Accommodation Asia Indonesia Jakarta Hostels Anara House
I stayed here for two nights from 9th of June 2012.
The location is quite hidden from the main road but surely not hard to find, i believe every taxi driver should find the location easily.

I stayed here for two nights from 9th of June 2012.
The location is quite hidden from the main road but surely not hard to find, i believe every taxi driver should find the location easily. They can at least find Dunkin Donuts at Fatmawati, and going from there on foot to Anara House won't take 3 minutes
The room is clean, that's what important. My other main concern was to choose a cheap accommodation, and from my point of view i got more than what i've paid. Of course we wont expect a five star facilites there, but the bed and bedcover are comfy, the air conditioning, hot water, wifi, and TV is great. The bathroom could use some cloth hanger though, and they don't provide tooth paste and shampoo (but you can buy it from a convenient store just about 5 minutes of walking)
As for the service, the staff were very friendly. They take us directly to the room when we arrived and gave us a form to fill and done. You can enjoy the stay
PS: i could be a little bit subjective here regarding the service because some of the staffs are Sundanese so we share the same language and culture so there were some kind of bonding :D bcuz i also read a review saying that the staff doesn't speak fluent english.Overall i gave a 4.5 out of 5 star.. The place i'll definitely choose to stay whenever i go to South Jakarta.

I had to pay cash as the credit card was only for making a reservation. This should be rectified. The location of this place is actually at the end of an alleyway that is parallel to the main road, so it cannot be seen on the main road. The air-conditioner system (Chinese ) failed and there was consequently a shivery night to endure. On the whole, the place is tolerable, with good, ergonomic design; I suspect this is due to suggestions from a non-Islamic , possibly non-Indonesian source that also recognizes the importance of the client to business well-being.

Anara House is ten minutes away by foot from CITOS, a famous mall in South Jakarta. We had a little bit of problem trying to find which house in the Jalan Cilandak X street it was because the sign was so small and was just printed on a white paper with YELLOW ink.
When I got to the hotel, it was to my surprise more than what I expected it to be. Real privacy because you have your own bathroom, TV, aircon, internet connection, etc. They are also very accommodating as they assisted me in going to places around the area explaining things and assisted me in getting a taxi to the airport which is rather difficult for tourists in Jakarta.
However, the downside is that only the receptionist/attendant is able to speak in English. But if there will be no problem using body language for you, I'm sure you can manage to communicate. :D
Lastly, while there are no curfews for the guest house, when I arrived at 11 PM, the gate was closed/locked so I had to knock for two to three minutes before somebody would open. I hope they can put a doorbell there, as well.
Nevertheless, an awesome stay for a very great bargain.
