An excellent choice. We opted to stay at a beach banda (which is very basic in terms of offerings, but it DOES offer the most amazing view of the water and the best sunrise in the world!) and it was amazing!

The staff, from Juergen to Solomon to Ali and Abraham were all friendly, intelligent, sharp, funny so as to make this a stay to remember...;-)

One (minor in my view) negative thing is the rocks just on the beach, making swimming right infront of the hotel a rather risky proposition. However, 100m to either side and you have easy access to amazing waters, so no problems really.

About Pakachi Beach Resort

The Pakachi Beach Resort is situated on the southeast coast of the island of Zanzibar. The Resort is a newly refurbished tropical garden hotel with private beach and own swimming pool, an experimental spice farm, wellness and well known restaurant. The combination between European management and local participation is providing a well organized tropical feeling and the ideal place to relax from business life. Nature related beach bungalows may cater for the real tropical impressions with an open bedroom in the first floor of these all natural material built houses.
