About Looming Hostel
Looming Hostel is one of the first and onlyest environmentally friendly boutique hostels in Estonia.
'Looming' in Estonian means 'Creation or artwork' - that's why everything is in constant change here.
Looming Hostel offers a new artistic style of accommodation in Tartu - cosy, warm and clean guestrooms are all created by different artists - everything we use for decoration is 99 % reused! We prefer natural materials, small ecological footprint, creativity and fun!
Our guestrooms and large livingroom are located on the attic floor of Young Estonian Creativity Center - where you can see and visit different workshops, concerts, events, fairs and festivals. There is a printing museum downstairs, the building is also a home to a paper museum, wood-workshop, designers, taylors and fashiondesigners.
There is a kitchen for self-catering, with all necessary equipment, free wifi everywhere, free parking, large livingroom with hammocks, sofas, books and games.
Brand new hot showers are now located on the same floor as rooms!

We booked this place due to the price....but it appeared not as nice as pictured in pictures. Rooms are quite small and we could find hairs on our bed linnens, which made as think that the sheets havent been changed. The overall idea about all the recycling is good, but but but....Toilets are poor, located one next to each other and there is no privacy! If the hostel is located on the 4th or 5th floor, than to get to the showers you will need to get to the basment and than the scary movie story can start. When we reached showers, there were hairs from previous clients all over the shower floor!!!! Not even mean tuning insects that were there - I dont think that this place undergoes any standards of hygiene. Not even mean tuning that the breakfasts are not included in the price.
I would suggest to stay in the Hotel Tartu, which have a hostel rooms located at the same building. The price is the same if not even cheaper, there are clean showers, bedding, TV set in the room, WiFI and breakfasts are included in the same price! We transfered there and we loved it!!!
