So close to the Oktoberfest you can practically fall into your favourite beer tent and a prime location at any other time of the year. The Frauenkirche and all of the absolutely lovely locations in Munich can be reached on foot while the Englische Garten, Schwabing, and the thriving nightlife are easily accessible via public transport. Our MEININGER also offers car parking facilities for you.

Cleanliness is of the highest priority for us. All guest rooms and common areas are cleaned daily.
The hostel and its rooms are equipped with a highly modern keycard system. The entire hostel is equipped with a modern fire alarm system with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers on every floor, as well as a video monitoring system in the entrance area and bar.

It nears the main station and you only need to walk about 10 mins.
The room is quite big, the toilet and both room are fine.
There is kitchen with oven, micro-wave oven, cooking oven, blow, ect...
You can pay for the washing machine inside the hostel. Wifi is available only in the ground floor. Charged computer is also available in lobby.The check in procedue is stupid and time wasting which I HATE.

We had a really nice stay at Meininger, the rooms were clean and warm and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in the rooms facing the courtyard, so there was no problem with road noise. The wireless internet was super slow, but that's the only gripe that we have.

Please notice that during Oktoberfest special cancellation policies will be valid:
For cancellations made 0 to 30 days before expected arrival or No-Show, 100% of the agreed-upon total price will be due.
For cancellations made 31 to 60 days before expected arrival, 50% of the agreed-upon total price will be due.
During Oktoberfest a deposit in the amount of the total price will be required. In case of giving your credit card details, it will be charged immediately. Elsewise you will receive a request payment with our bank details. We ask you for your understanding when MEININGER has to cancel your reservation if the amount of the total price has not been going into our bank account within 7 days.

From the Hauptbahnhof (Central Train Station)
- Take the S-Bahn toward west and get off at Hackerbrücke. (3 minute journey, 1 station)
- Follow the signs to "Theresienwiese".
- If you are on the Hackerbrücke with the Frauenkirche and the main station behind you, leave the bridge to the left
- Take a right at the first traffic light onto Landsberger Strasse.
- Our house is only two minutes away.
From Franz Josef Strauss Airport (MUC)
- Take the S1 or S8 lines.
- Get off at the stop Hackerbrücke and follow the signs to the "Theresienweise". (35 minute journey)
