This boutique hotel that’s rated by the Syrian Ministry of Tourism as a five stars hotel is located right in the center of Damascus the city where seven civilizations meet in the STRAIGHT STREET or in Latin, Via Recta which is mentioned in the story of Paul's conversion to Christianity in the Bible in Acts 9:1019-

When the Refurbishing works of the old house started with the purpose of turning it into a magnificent master piece hotel, Workshops had very strict orders from the new owners to keep the same architectural and engineering identity of it which combined many ancient civilizations such as the old Syrian, Phoenician and Roman.

This enormous job was done by a huge team of experts, sculptors, engravers, Arab crafts artists, mosaic, Arabesque, faience, Ajami , silver and copper craftsmen.

The engineers worked really hard to keep this unique interrelation between the old and contemporary, modernity and the very old past, between the second millennium and the first millennium BC.so that Agenor will have his own house in Damascus…

The hotel Windows whose glass is made with Persian ornament and pottery edges decorated with old Arabic poetry written about Damascus and the love of life.

Everything in the damascene house revolves around the water fountain which is the source of life that sprays water high in the sky to come down right in the fountain or ALNOFARA as called by Damascus people.

This water fountain which the damascenes take as the center of the universe in their houses is the very center point of Agenor palace .

The old people of Damascus used to have their breakfast around the water fountain listening to the melody of water drops. In Agenor lobby… you can have cup of coffee prepared with Fijah water, the spring of life in Damascus and the damascene coffee beans mixed with the famous mixture… nutmeg and musk… in copper kettles. In the bathrooms old stones that’s converted into bathing basins embraces our guests, basalt stones that was brought from the south of Syria …from Sweida area where you find dormant sleeping volcanoes and nice black sand …and from the white rocks of Kalamoun excavated by the first Christians to dig tunnels and caves to protect the message of Christ… rocks of Kalamoun Maloula, Seidnaya and Cherubim mountain where you can see Angels convent surrounded by the first Christianity caves.

In all Agenor bathrooms mosaic, covres all walls carrying the old speech written by poets who expressed love to Damascus and its people…
