Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first known person to travel throughout the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands between the Nile and Euphrates, accepting hospitality from those whose homes he visited, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent.

We, the staff and owners of Abraham Hostel Jerusalem wish to extend Abraham's biblical hospitality to our time. We have created our dream hostel to support travelers and modern tourists in the Middle East.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The Abraham Hostel is a very big hostel about 25minutes footwalk to the Old City. Therefore it`s a little bit anonym. On the other hand the stuff is very friendly and there`s a fantastic common room with hammocks, mattrasses, a billiard, a tabletop soccer, a bar and a lot more.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I was very impressed and heartily recommend it. A very nice property well located near to the Old City. I was in Jerusalem during the time when the missile came in (outside of town) and the staff was very helpful in giving us info to stay safe. Also the owners arranged an evening session to explain in more detail what was happening and answered all our questions. Very helpful!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We did not have great expectations as the cost for the family room was very cheap for a stay in a major city. However we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean and extremely organised. Plenty of people to help out. Breakfast buffet included. Would highly recommend this hostel for anyone. 100% value for money.

Great location, walking distance from touring sites, market, restaurants, shops, banks and ATM's. Excellent service. We stayed in a 4-bed private ensuite which was very comfortable and clean. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed using the common room and the facilities there. Great eco-friendly practices: use recycling and compost bins, energy-conserving hot water systems.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

My daughters and I stayed in a large n-ensuite room with a double bunk and a single bunk bed. The toilet and shower facilities were separate which was wonderful! The rate was a B&B rate and the breakfast served was generous. The staff at Abraham Hostel were very helpful and all the tours they offer at the Hostel and even short courses to learn Hebrew were an unexpected bonus. We will definitely be back and next time for longer! Enid, Jess and Taryn, Cape Town, South Africa.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Very modern and friendly environment with people who love travelling and have interesting stories to share. The ten person dorm was a bargain and so spacious and comfortable. The coffee bar and upstairs lounge is a fantastic feature of this hostel. Having stayed at a hostel with little opportunity to relax and socialize, the community at Abraham Hostel feels so united and open to meeting new travellers. Nighttime events in the lounge allowed for people to come together after a day of exploring. The whole persona is very accomodating and friendly. Great choice!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We stayed in a 4 person dorm in the basement.
It was noisy, but ok. There were no curtains so in the morning the room was very light.
Because of this I woke up very early every morning.

The facilities are great. We love the dining room. It is cosy.
The breakfast every morning is simple but ok.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.
We can advise everybody to come to this hostel if You'd like to stay in Jerusalem.
