Budget Accommodation South America Peru Arequipa Bed & Breakfasts La Posada del Kuraka
La Posada del Kuraka is a great deal. Period. The rooms are small and basic, the water was mostly luke warm, but the location is good (it really isn't a long walk at all to the main plaza, just five minutes or so). What we liked most about our stay was Jose, the owner.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
La Posada del Kuraka is a great deal. Period. The rooms are small and basic, the water was mostly luke warm, but the location is good (it really isn't a long walk at all to the main plaza, just five minutes or so). What we liked most about our stay was Jose, the owner. Jose was very friendly and helpful (though his English is limited, but our Spanish was limited as well and we made it work!), always available, and he let us keep our bags locked up and use the facilities even after we'd checked out and while waiting to take a 9 pm night bus back to Cuzco. The terrace up top has a beautiful view of the entire city and surrounding mountains and volcanoes, and that was a huge plus to staying there. If you want inexpensive and basic, then La Posada is a great place to stay.
