We (family travelling with teenagers) really liked this hotel; great location, friendly helpful and hardworking staff, good breakfast with lots of choice, clean comfortable spacious room with thoughtful extras like free filtre coffee The decor was a little tired in places (and the shower a bit wild) which wasn't a problem for us but then we didn't expect or want The Holiday Inn. We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

the myrto hotel is located in the safest and beutiful area in the center of athens,right in the midlle of the financial center,between plaka old city(50 meters) and syndagma squear(100 m).within 5 minutes walking distance,there is akropolis and the new museum of akropolis.plenty of restaurants,by side of the hotel with variety of cuisines and prices.in a 10 min.walking is the president of the republic house and the goverment building.within 5 min.is the parlament.the hotel is situated in one of the quiet and secure areas in all athens.the metro is 5 min walking.in 1/2 hour u r in the airport via metro wich leads you deep inside the airport almost in the front door of the airplain.

It was very basic hotel but in a really great location, right in the centre of shopping and majority of tourist spots,
the staff were verz helpful especially one man. I would stay here again.

Directions
First Way (30min)
From EL.VENIZELOS Airport you can use the Bus No X95 to SYNTAGMA Square. The ticket costs 3.20EUR per person.Final bus stop on Syntagma square, on Othonos str. Our Hotel is in five minutes walk from there. You have to cross Filellinon Str., find the central Office on Mitropoleos Str. and walk a couple of meters till the corner with Nikis str., turn to the left and walk till number 40 where our hotel is.
Second Way (30min)
From the Airport you can use the Metro line towards 'Monastiraki'. The ticket costs 6.00EUR per person and you have to step down on 'Syntagma square' and then follow the same instructions as for using Express bus line.
Third Way (20-30 min)
You can take a taxi from the Airport and our exact address is: Nikis str 49 (corner with Navarvhou Nikodimou Str.), Plaka, district of Syntagma Square, Athens Downtown. The taxi will cost you approximately 25EUR.
