Sanu’s House is in Patan, which is only 5 km. from Kathmandu. The location is within easy access to all tourist destinations in the Kathmandu valley. The house is only 50 meters from a bus stop and a taxi stand where taxis are available around the clock.
Sanu’s House is just 7 km. from the international and domestic airport. It takes only 5 minutes to reach the house from the airport by taxi and only 20 minutes by bus.

Sanu’s House is across from B & B hospital, one of the best private hospitals in Nepal. The house is very easy to recognize since it is the only green building in the area.
The top floor provides a magnificent view of the Himalayas whenever the weather is clear.
Durbar Square, the ancient palace which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, is just a fifteen-minute walk from the house.

During warmer months this is the perfect place to stay. I stayed here for a month until mid October. Sarita creates a home away from home and I met so many wonderful travellers here because everybody eats together at meal time. Sarita is the most warm and helpful host and will act as a guide if you need it. I couldn't recommend this place more.
However please be aware that during winter (I stayed here again in December) the rooms are cold and dark so as long as you are prepared for seriously cold nights and frequent and prolonged power cuts you will be fine!
The location is great for buses and Sarita will help you with those when you want to explore KTM.
