The staff were very friendly and helpful, if you could find them. Unfortunately, the owner tended to pull a disappearing act at random times--I had to wait 45 minutes to check in. But when he was in the office he gave great advice on places to visit and even let me borrow a bicycle for free.

The hostel itself was clean and well-equipped. I never had to wait for the showers and there was a small kitchen area with free tea and coffee. The 'bed' was a wooden bunk with a very thin mat, so it was even harder than my futon at home, but that happens a lot in Japanese hostels.

The location was great, 10 minutes' walk from the biggest station in town and next to a lot of yummy restaurants.

For what you pay this accomodation is very good. Great location to shops, bars & restaurants along with clean functional rooms. Only downside is small showers & piss poor internet connection that drove me up the wall!!!
