About Hercus Hostel
The Hercus Hostel is located in the most famous neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro - Copacabana.
Our place is a building of 3 floors, we have male, female and mixed dorms and also one private room for 4 people. All the rooms have air conditioning. A nice breakfast is included so you can start you day well.
Our infrastructure offers free internet access, lobby, common area, TV and a espectular swimming pool.
We are also located very close to the Copacabana beach. There are many restaurants, bars and a subway on Siqueira Campos Street.
So, if you want to enjoy the wonders of Rio and still keep in a good shape, you have to pay us a visit!

The lockers are broken. there is no hot water, the rooms are overcrowded and the schwimmpool in copacabana is too dirty for using it!

We stayed in Hercus Hostel during the Reveillon period.
Ok, it was the cheapest hostel in Copacabana, but it was really crappy.They were renovating the place while we were staying there. This hostel is a former gym, so there were 2 male and 2 female showers, which didn't always work. And 1 male and 1 female toilet. The dormitories are huge. We were lucky that we stayed in the airconditioned one, but there was another dormitory with 36 beds without airco, on the south side of the building. These dormitories were also 3 stairs up. Quiet annoying if you have to go to the toilet at night. When we were there it was raining and the place was leaking, buckets everywhere.
On the other hand we have to say that the crew was very helpful and friendly.
I would recommend the owner to invest in the infrastructure and take good care of his/her staff. They are the acet and heart of Hercus Hostel.Tim & Tessa
