Located centrally in Bolivia´s steamy jungle town Rurrenabaque, Los Tucanes de Rurre is a locally owned hotel with great recreational facilities for those travellers heading to or from Amazonia.

Relax in the hammocks on the ground floor under the thatched pavilion, check out the views of the Andean foothills from the roof terrace or sink a few balls on the pool table in the games area; you´ll find it easy to pass the time in this popular, laidback hangout.

There are 19 rooms in total. 10 have private bathrooms, a mixture of double, twin and triple rooms.

The shared bathroom has one 24hr hot shower and one cold shower, private bathrooms have 24hr (electric) showers. Towels are provided free of charge upon request and fans are in all rooms.

Breakfast is included in the price of your room and is served from 7-10am in the dining area on the ground floor. The breakfast consists of bread and jam and tea/coffee.

The hotel has an open layout with a thatched pavilion as its centre. As you walk into the hotel, the dining area is located behind the fountain. To the right is the hammock area with four strung hammocks. There is also a roof terrace with plenty of seating and tables and great views.

There is a games room with a pool table and dartboard, free of charge to guests. A safety deposit box and luggage storage facility is available at reception from 7am-9pm, free of charge. A small book exchange facility and television are located in the reception area. Check-out time is 11am.

You can walk from the bus station to the hotel which will take around between 5-10 minutes. Motorcycle taxis wait at the bus station should you not wish to walk. Those arriving at the airport should take a taxi for the 4km journey into town which costs approximately Bs5 or ask at the airline's customer services desk to call the hotel, then we will pick you up free of charge.
