The guy who owned the place was really helpful and friendly but the cleanliness was very poor. The kitchen was digusting. The 2 fridges I didn't want to touch as they looked so grim and you could see the mechanics working underneath them. The tap moved round everytime you tried to use it and one of the fridge doors was held shut with a bit of rope.
The room itself had clean bedding but it felt like a prison cell. Some coat hangers would have been nice. Did have our own sink in room, which was good.
Location was great, as really close to a large pub that served lovely food and right next to the beach with the stinger net, so no need to wear stinger suits. Also, got suzuki jeep hire next door, which was great to visit the gorgeous Florence Bay and the other beaches in that area (Mokes not allowed on that road).
We spent very little time at the backpackers and ate out, so not such a major issue it not being clean.
