Maybe a little expensive, was S$30 in April 2011, now S$35 for a bed in a four beds dorm.

About City Center Backpackers Hostel

Choose to stay at the center of all tourist attraction and save your time, cover more tourist points,and also save your money on transportation.
City Center Backpackers (CCB) is centrally located; just 3 minutes walk to Clarke Quay MRT (tube/metro) train station. It is also the nicest, safest and the coolest area in Singapore.
Are you looking for a great night out, or to just chill out with a beer and friends? Come down to Clarke Quay, we are located 3 minutes from Clarke Quay, the Heart of Singapore\'s night life. Consisting of unique, exotic restaurants and high end bars and pubs - this is one entertainment belt that never gets boring.
Terms and conditions:
1.No Smoking inside the hostel
2.RECEPTION TIMINGS:
5.30am to 11pm, but if you have an arrival later than 11pm, we will arrange for your check-in free of cost.
3.For payment we accept only cash and in Singapore Dollars only, so if you want you may change money or withdraw cash at the Airport, also there is an ATM and a money changer near our hostel also.
4.Only one twin private room has a bunk bed, rest of the twin private rooms has a Queen size bed in it.
Cancellation Policy:
We would be grateful if you could inform us at least 48hours in advance if you decide to cancel or make any changes to your booking, otherwise the first night\'s charge is applicable.
We will keep the room/bed for you for 3 hours from the stated time of arrival. After which it will be released for booking. If there is a delay in your arrival time, we would appreciate if you could let us know through phone or email.

•Check out time: 1200hrs.
•Our reception runs 24hourly, so if you have an early flight, you may check in early and use our facilities or you can leave your bags with us whilst you head out to explore the city.
•Likewise, if you have a late flight or bus to catch on the day of your checkout, you may leave your bags with us at no additional cost.

There was nothing to complain about it on our 3 night stay (Jan 2012) in this place, right in the city centre of Singapore. We had a double bedroom: the room was not big, but enough space for two travelers with their gear (age 55 and 60),the bed had clean sheets, the mattress was good, it was not hot inside and there was enough fresh air. The most important: it was not noisy! Not from the neighbors, not from the street.
The breakfast was absolutely sufficient, and there was a fridge where you could store your own foodstuff. Common showers and toilets were always OK, there was free internet and friendly staff.
The location is great: everything is nearby, everything is in walking distance: MRT, small restaurants, cafes and pubs, eateries, chinatown, the Singapore River,....
You will hardly find a more reliable place!

Very dirty and rotten place. Many rooms have no window. The walls are so thin that you can hear every word from the room next door! Stay in the little hotel opposite of the hostel. They have rates from 80 SGD (double bed room) which is only 10 SGD more than in the City Centre Backpackers Hostel (70 SGD)

I had my really best stay in Singapore in this Hostel! Everything was sooo cool! Breakfast was perfect, free Internet all the time and sooo clean!
The owner was so nice, we were drinking beer together and had pretty much fun! I absolutely recommend this hostel! Go there!! It is perfectly located!

My first experience lived in hostel was great.
It would take 5-10 mins to go there from the MRT and not so far from the orchard road, little Indian and China town.
It's clean, comfortable and the stuff was friendly.PS: The blueberry jam which applied for free was nice.(*^__^*)

Wow, This is a great place for the backpackers. The value not so expensive, suitable for the people who want to save money..... worth every cents.... and also u guys can go to Clarke quay, which is a beautiful place, lively in the night....

It's my first experience to stay in a hostel. It's a very nice place to stay. Very good location and friendly staff. Cleanness and fast free WiFi are great. Near MRT station so it's very convenient to go to other places in Singapore.

Friend of mine and I stayed here for 6 nights. Eventhough we came 4-5 hrs late we were welcomed warmly and our rooms were ready for our occupation. Rooms were clean and compact .Very happy with the services of the staff - Nisha , she was cheerful and helpful. Quite happy about the Breakfast with coffee , the free internet and the close access to the MRT and happening places. Would surely stay there next time and recomend it to anyone interested.
