Important Information

True to our name, at Colors of Cape Town Lodge we offer guests nearly as many accommodation options as there are hues in the rainbow. Whether you’re looking to meet new people in a dormitory, get a good night’s sleep with your partner in a private double room, book a studio for a longer stay or spread out in our family room, there’s sure to be something that suits your fancy.

It’s possible to book any room on either a self-catering basis (we have a communal kitchen) or a bed-and-breakfast basis, and all of our rooms are clean and comfortable, with splashes of colour on the walls and crisp, white linen on the beds.

We also pride ourselves on our versatility, so if you need to accommodate a group, let us know how we can help you (our lodge sleeps a maximum of between 23 and 28 people).

Double Room

Ideal for couples who want their own private space, this room is slightly larger than the standard rooms, claims a comfy double bed and includes its own bathroom. For ease of access, it’s situated on the ground floor near the pool.

•Sleeps: 2
•Bathroom: En-suite

Standard Room

Perfect for friends or family members who’d prefer not to sleep on the same mattress, our three standard rooms are kitted out with two single beds each (Note: a third single bed can be added upon request). Each room is just a short sleepy-eyed walk from a communal bathroom, and the standard room on the first floor boasts a view of Table Mountain.

•Sleeps: 2 - 3
•Bathroom: Communal

Dormitory

The best option for friendly travellers on a strict budget who are eager to make new friends, our mixed dormitory is made up of two sets of bunk beds and is open to both male and female visitors. You can either rent a spot in these shared quarters or book the room exclusively with a group of three others. Bedding and a towel are available, and a TV and lockers are in the room (bring your own lock for the lockers). The communal bathroom is within easy reach.

•Sleeps: 1 - 4
•Bathroom: Communal

Family Room

Made up of two interconnecting rooms that are joined by a bathroom, our family room is the go-to choice for slightly larger groups. Each unit has a two single beds and one bunk bed, which means that up to four people can catch some shut-eye in each room. The best part? This accommodation option comes with a sea view.

•Sleeps: 1 - 8

Studio Apartment

Our studio apartment is most popular with individual travellers, couples or small families who want a bit more private space or who are staying in Cape Town for a longer time. The unit, which claims a large king-size bed and one single bed (Note: a fourth sleeper sofa can be added upon request) , comes with its own separate entrance, includes an en-suite bathroom with both a bath and shower and also boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, 4-plate stove and oven.

At Colors of Cape Town Lodge, we’re all about making sure guests get a good night’s sleep at a great price.

When we opened our doors in the quiet, leafy oceanside suburb of Milnerton in 2011, we wanted to give travelers and holidaymakers an affordable place to stay outside of the fray of the bustling Cape Town city centre, but close enough to reach all the wonderful local attractions. We’re just around the corner from some of the Mother City’s most beautiful beaches, within 10km of the airport and CBD and within easy reach of the Cape Winelands, Table Mountain and the like.

Our seven rooms come in all shapes and sizes, and you can overnight either on a self-catering or B&B basis, which is why we like to think of ourselves as operating somewhere in the space between a backpackers and guest house. We also cater for families and groups both big and small as well as those looking for long-stays.

And as foreigners ourselves – we moved from The Netherlands in 2010 – we know how important it is to be at-home away from home, so we go out of our way to make it feel like family at Colors of Cape Town Lodge.
