Our property pays homage to the lone grape vine that has stood on the property for over 100 years, making it the second oldest vine in Monterosso. The property was also once owned by the locally famous artist Raffaele, whose iconic depictions of Monterosso can be viewed at various locations around town.

Our reasonable rates allow all types of travellers to experience the tranquillity of a home away from home while exploring the enchanting Cinque Terre.

We have two types of accommodation options, a complete apartment or a single room. Our apartment options include a complete kitchen, bathroom, and living area. Our single rooms have a twin bed, small table and chair, sink, mirror and storage space. The single rooms share a detached bathroom with a sink, mirror, shower and toilet. All guests are provided with linens and towels. We also have a laundry line to dry any items during your stay. High-speed wireless internet and cable tv are also available with certain accommodations.

Our rooms are all recently renovated, creating clean modern spaces within the beautiful historic buildings of Monterosso. Our thick stone walls help to keep the rooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Each of our accommodation options feature unique architectural highlights, some of which include high wood beam ceilings, marble accents, or hand-moulded details which were created by Raffaele himself. Our property also has a communal patio space which creates a perfect environment to socialize with other guests or relax quietly under the shade of our vine.

A Vigna du Raffa offers complete customer service, assisting our clients both prior to and during their stay in any way possible.

A Vigna du Raffa is owned and operated by a young Italian guy (Diego) which helps us to accommodate our international guests as he speaks both fluent English and Italian.

We are also affiliated with one of the private beaches here in Monterosso, and offer our guests discounted access to beach beds and umbrellas.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We would highly recommend this property. We had 3 nights with our two boys (aged 12 and 15) in the apartment at A Vigna Du Raffa. It was spacious, clean, very comfortable and had everything we could need. Diego was a fantastic host - thanks for a very memorable stay in Monterosso!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We stayed in the apartment here in March 2013 for 5 nights. The grape vine had no leaves, the weather was overcast and rainy every day, and almost all the trails between towns were closed. Despite all that, we enjoyed our stay in Monterosso - mostly because of the niceness of the apartment and our host, Diego.

The apartment was spotless and dustless upon arrival. The kitchen was well-equipped with working appliances. The heat kept us warm throughout our stay - we especially liked the towel-rack radiator in the bathroom. The bunk beds were great for our two kids. The location was central without being too close to the street. There's a great restaurant below in the same building and a small market just around the corner.

The only minor annoying thing was the shower that was too small and had water controls that varied between too cold and too hot with brief periods of just-right. But again, it's minor.

Diego met us at the train station upon arrival in the rain and transported our luggage to the apartment for us. He even loaned us an umbrella since we came unprepared for the rain. We used the apartment as a home base to visit the other four cities in Cinque Terre and even Parma on one day to see Parma FC play football.

I can only imagine how awesome it'd be to stay in the apartment during the warmer months and I hope to do just that sometime in the future. Don't think twice - stay here!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Megan is a very personable and helpful host. Since we are both native Californians, communication was excellent! I stayed in a single room which was small but immaculate. It had a sink, fan and plenty of storage space. The only awkward part was crossing the inner courtyard to use the shared bathroom/shower. Megan also rents out a large, lovely apartment and works hard to keep the property in excellent condition. Monterosso is a fun, relaxing and beautiful town, and I look forward to returning!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I stayed in one of the single rooms. It was extremely small but that was no problem at all since it had everything one needs and it was very cosy and clean, for a good price. The courtyard is very nice too. Unfortunately I was there during the floods which were pretty disastrous, so I had to be evacuated and stayed shorter than initially planned. Fortunately A Vigna Du Raffa wasn't on ground level, so it's still in good shape I think. As soon as Monterosso has managed to get up and running again, I highly recommend this accommodation. The owners Megan & Diego are very kind and helpful as well, even during these catastrophic days they managed to look after their guests to see if they were still all right. I'd like to give them and all Monterosso inhabitants my best wishes, it is a beautiful area and a fantastic travel location. Go visit them!

Clean, updated apartment with all amenities except air, which despite 90 degree F daytime temperatures, was not necessary at night. Megan and De Carlo were very attentive and a great resource for local information. Old town Monterrosso location is excellent for all things Cinque Terre. Would return again.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The apartment we stayed in had fantastic decor not often seen in Italy ie: modern furnishings / colour schemes and appliances. The bathroom was large and the main bedroom was very spacious with a comfortable bed and double glazed windows that kept the sound from the shops below to a minimum . The other bedding options were a set of bunk beds and a day bed (couch) with a trundler bed underneath (both very comfortable), these 4 beds are in the main living area (the bunks were in an alcove in the wall opposite the bathroom so had a little privacy. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate most meals at the apartment. The discount for loungers at the private beach associated with these apartments made it really good value to spend the day at the beach. The patio outside the apartment has tables and chairs all shaded by beautiful grape vines, its a nice spot to read in the morning or have breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. Megan is a lovely hostess, she is warm and welcoming and helpful.

Idilic if you are a traveller looking for somewhere to kick back and relax. I was in a single room which yes was small but when you have a beautiful court yard to sit in who really cares. Max people who can stay here is 8 so very peaceful. Megan is a very generous and warm hostess. Her attention to detail to make your stay as easy and as comfortable as possible is awesome. The apartment look great as well and had cooking facilities.

Monterosso is the best of the villages to stay in has a little bit more about it yet remains quaint and not very busy.

My experience staying here will be one I remember for a long time.

If u want to chillax near beautiful coastline staying here is an absolute must

Thanks Megan for helping to create the memories:-)
