About Damascus Hostel

This is not the average hostel, this is a VIP hostelling, and it is home away from home. You have a choice of TV lounge featuring hundreds of channels including BBC, CNBC, CNN, France 24 Hours, Bloomberg, and most European channels. We also have an Arabian lounge, sunset lounge and guests can sun bathe in private on the roof top.

It’s an ideal place for the solo traveller to meet others, and suitable for first time visitors to Syria where we can give you all the information on where to go and how to get there and the best way to do it. Damascus Hostel has a social atmosphere which often is derived from sharing dining tables, washing machines and much more with other guests.

Our Hostel organizes parties and excursions for guests, and many people can meet and get to know each other over a drink. In a hostel one is more likely to start a conversation with a fellow traveller or to be asked for advice, tips and information by someone you have never met before.

Hostels are a good place to make friends and meet people from many different countries. Hostel guests like to exchange tips on clubs, museums, shows, shopping and often share tours.

Enjoy city views over the wall to the East and Mount Kasioon to the West. We are not in any travel guide books yet because we opened in second half of 2007.
