Lovely place to stay, renovated, attractive (inside), clean and friendly. Quiet at night. Big healthy breakfast available. Staff are extremely helpful and some of them speak English. This is about as central as you can get in Mexico City, in walking distance of the Zocalo and old part of the city (transport around the Zocalo is terrible so don't even try...). It is also in walking distance of Roma, Zona Rosa and Condesa. 5 minutes from the subway, 6 or 7 minutes from the amazing Metrobus line 1, 10 minutes from the other metrobus lines. If you feel energetic it only takes about 40 minutes to walk the length of Avenida Reforma to get to Chapultepec park. Constant hot water, clean drinking water, and wifi connection. When I first arrived I had a lot of work to do so had a private room, now I'm in a dormitory, both of them spacious and comfortable. I can't imagine a better experience for staying in Mexico City.

Very small place, the people who work their are amazingly friendly, on one of the first nights I had altitude sickness and the woman working there went out of her way to make sure I was alright. The taps leak a bit and the keycards never seem to work but theres alwatys someone around to help, and otherwise there are very nice rooms.
The only downside was the lack of people. I had wanted to meet people in Mexico City but I only saw 3 or4 other guests in the entire hostel during my 4 days there.
