Sanliurfa is located in the south of Turkey. It is a very old town - known as Edessa in Roman and Greek times. And according to some it is where Abraham was born.
No wonder that there is a lot to see and do if you are looking for historic sights. Mevlid Halil mosque, with the cave of Abraham and the citadel with its Corinthian columns are highlights. Take a minibus to visit Job's cave at Eyup Peygamber. While you are in the area, make sure to visit Harran, 40km south to the Syrian border and see the dome shape house and other archaeological sites and rivers.

1. Head northwest on Sanliurfa Adiyaman Yolu/D885 toward Hanciagaz Küçükhan Köyü and continue to follow D885 (8.8 km)
2. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Kadri Erogan Cd/D885 (350 m)
3. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Atatürk Cd/D885, continue to follow D885 and go through 1 roundabout (4.1 km)
4. Turn right at Kizilyer Cd and go through 1 roundabout (500 m)
5. Turn left at 4018. Sk (350 m)
6. Turn right toward Kazim Karabekir Blv (9 m)
7. Take the 1st left toward Kazim Karabekir Blv (170 m)
8. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Kazim Karabekir Blv (300 m)
9. Turn left at Atatürk Blv and continue until you reach the destination.
