About AWA Hostel Barcelona
The Awa Hostel Barcelona is one of 8 AWA properties in Barcelona, located right next to the famous Plaza Reial, Barrio Gotic and all the major sights in the city centre. This hostel is perfect for the budget traveller looking for clean, comfortable accommodations right in the heart of the city (action!)
Our hostel offers everything you need for your stay in Barcelona - a clean & cosy hostal with friendly staff to help with all the information you need to make the most of your stay in Barcelona.
And of course you can join all the other travallers cooking or having a drink in our common area, before a Barcelona night out.
But if you want to have an early night, dont worry,from 11 pm to 8 am its our quite time.
We offer only dorm rooms and is great if coming for the lone traveler or groups. We have a kitchen for all of our guests to use and a nice common area to have a chance to meet other travelers from around the world.

With 5 rooms, from 4 to 6 bed dorm, you will find a comfortable and clean place to stay. (Only shared rooms).
If you are looking for a budget option in Barcelona, we have it.
Please be aware, any reservation with an amount over 1000 Euros, will be subject to a 30 day cancellation policy. No changes or cancellations can be made within 30 days of the arrival date. Thank you for understanding
Location Information
When checking in after midnight, please call the front desk to set up a late check in.
If arriving from the Barcelona Airport. Please take the aerobus to Placa Catalunya. Walk down Las Ramblas toward the Port (downhill) then take the small street Carrer Escudellers on the left. We are located 50 meters on the left If you are taking metro, get off at Liceu. (green line). Walk downhill toward the Port, take Carrer Escudellers on the left, walk 50 meters, we are on the left.

Super friendly people at this hostel. Very suited to the young budget traveller who wishes to stay out til late as there are no time restrictions and we could leave our bags there safely during the day even though we'd only booked for 1 night. Fantastic location, though some sort of sign/ symbol would have been great as there is nothing to indicate where it is and the emailed directions that came from the hostel are wrong (it's on the right not the left of Carrer Escudellers as you come from Las Ramblas) and not suitable for wheelchair users as there are many stairs and no lift. Facilities are VERY BASIC. Rooms are small but clean enough and we had a fan with the room- much needed! You can cook there but if you are a stickler for hygiene give it a miss. If you are happy to share with nice people and can put up with the odd bug or two and want a flavour of Barcelona- give it a go!

It was not easy to find the AWA Hostel- there were no sign or somethingelse to show you the way. But friendly people showed me the way.
It is multiculture, you meet people all over the world.
Location is perfect. In the centre, just 5 minutes to the port.
But no lockers or somethingelse where you can stow your things.

It was very noisy, I couldn't sleep at all, no regulations for the guests so thay can do whatever they want no matter whether they are disturbing the others, pretty small and the rooms a very smelly. Nice guys in charge of this hostel. The only thing I liked was its location very close to the metro station, the beach and ramblas.
