Budget Accommodation Asia Sri Lanka Udawalawe Campsites Elephant Lane-Udawalawe
Very nice place and the caretaker is so friendly, food was excellent, the only problem we had was with the electricity I hope they will take necessary steps to improve it.
Leave your cares behind and retreat to the secluded comfort of Elephant Lane- an extraordinary hideout in Sri Lanka’s deep -south. You can stroll along nearby Udawalawe Wild Life Park, grab the fun opportunities that the Elephant Orphanage offers, explore the natural jungle and its flora and fauna, or simply stay and relax.
Large rooms with attached bathrooms, comfortable air conditioning, utterly clean toilets will help you to have a peaceful sleep in the dry weather of Udawalawe. However, if you prefer the fresh air blowing through the villages or the wild life that roams you can opt to sleep outside in your hammock with nobody to disturb your dreams.
Our rooms are airy and comfortable. Enjoy a blissful rest and awake to the call of the Ceylon Jungle Fowl. Get achance to see the Rock Squirrel (dandu lena) trotting over the branches or, with a little luck you may gaze at the Red Deer. Take a stroll around our spacious garden, calm down, unwind and take it easy! In case it has not dawned on you, there is really nothing luxurious about Elephant Lane. We try our best not to offer pseudo-hospitality ... !
