We stayed in a double private with ensuite, it was ok although it was a bit like staying in an underground bunker.
There was no internet in the room, and even the internet in the restaurant (which is the only place you can get it) was very patchy.
It is close to the beach, about 5-10 mins walk.

About Ancient Thira
Ancient Thira studios is a small family-run complex situeted in Perissa just 150m from the sea.
The long Perissa Beach is famous for its infinite black sand. It offers opportunities for diving and various water-sports.
The distance from the shops, bakeries, tavernas, laundry, ATM, bus stop etc is no more than 200 m.
On the main floor there is a reception and restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks and drinks.
All studios have private bathroom, refrigerator, kitchen facilities, balcony and a/c on request.
We also have double rooms in extra economy category called Budget . All these rooms have private bathroom and refrigerator and they are on the lower ground floor.
Services: every day cleaning, every second day clean towels, every third day clean sheets.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Cancellation policy:
In the low season, cancellations must be made 24 hours before the arrival date. Late cancellations and no-shows incur a one night fee.
In July, cancellations must be made 48 hours before the arrival date. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged a one night fee.
In August, cancellations must be made 72 hours before the arrival date. In case of no-show or late cancellation, the full stay will be charged.
For early departures in July and August, one night will be charged.
Child policy:
Children from 0 to 4 years old stay free of charge when sharing a bed with parents. Free cots are also available.
Children from 4 to 12 years old pay 50% of the per person rate.

Directions
From Fira you can take a public bus to Perissa and tell the driver to drop you off at the big church close to Romani Tours.
Ask there for ancient thira studios.
After your request we can arrange transfer (surcharge) from the port or the airport to the hotel.
Please e-mail the hotel in advance of the arrival details (your flight number/name of the boat and the arrival time to Santorini).
