Kalani Hawaii is not your typical "place to stay." As a fusion of all accommodation styles, we are a unique, boutique Private Lodging offering our guests the finest accommodations on the North Shore.
What you will experience at Kalani Hawaii is an escape from the everyday rush, a peek through the palm trees to see how life exists when you're on island time. We offer beautiful vistas, breathtaking sunsets, and short strolls to famous beaches, snorkeling, world class surfing, and much more.
We are located on 1 acre of natural lush greenery nestled between Pupukea mountain and the Pacific ocean, directly across the street from Rocky Point. Two blocks to our east is Sunset Beach, two blocks to our west is the famous Pipeline - known for it's incredible waves and International World Surfing contest during the months of October - March. Once you pass through out gates, you're passing into a peaceful private estate, a hidden gem on the legendary North Shore of Oah'u.
During the months of April through September the ocean is very calm with pristine, crystal clear waters that can be enjoyed while scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, sailing, canoe paddling, windsurfing and observing the rich marine life such as sea turtles, dolphins, whales and all sorts of beautiful, tropical fish.
For your comfort, our property includes rooms with king, queen, full size, as well as bunk beds, complete sets of linens, a fully equipped communal kitchen, remote controlled fans, FREE cable TV & wifi as well as VCR, DVD, and CD players. Within our grounds you will find many reclining chairs set up so you may relax and enjoy our beautiful landscaped gardens. You'll also enjoy a hammock, outdoor BBQ dining area with plenty of tables and chairs as well as an outdoor TV. We also offer free, private & secured parking.
Please see our website for more details on our rooms as well as beautiful photo albums.
We require a minimum reservation of 5 days - occasionally we may have three days available, subject to availability.
There is a linen cleaning fee of $5.00 every 5 days.
We do not normally serve breakfast, but if you request it, we can bring you some local treats for an additional $10.00 fee.
We do expect our guests to treat our beautiful lodging with respect, and we take great pride in keeping it impeccably clean. If you should leave your room unreasonably messy or dirty, an additional cleaning fee may apply.
PLEASE note that our Hawaii tax will be added to your bill at the end of your stay!
We offer luxurious private studios complete with private bathrooms, showers, and kitchens, or private / shared rooms with communal bathrooms and kitchen.
For more details and photos for these rooms, please see our website.
Exit the airport and follow the signs for the H1-92 West - Aiea/Pearl City - follow for about 7 miles.
Look for signs leading to H2 North - Mililani/Wahiawa - exit right onto H2 N and follow until the highway ends (if you're using GSP it may tell you to take exit 8 through Wahiawa. You can do this if you like, it's just as easy to stay on the H2 until it ends and leads you right to Route 99.)
Continue straight onto Route 99 North/Wilikina Dr - Stay in the right lane (depending on the time of day military will be backing up left turn lanes on this road) Follow the sign to the right that points to the North Shore. Once you pass the Dole Plantation you will be coming over the top of a big hill overlooking all of the North Shore. Continue on this road all the way to Hale'iwa.
Stay to the right and follow Route 83 East - within 7 miles we will be on your right.
Summary, take H1 West ? H2 North ? 99 North ? 83 East.
If all you've got is small luggage (busses here don't allow for large luggage) and time to meander (and we mean about two hours), The Bus is the way for you. It may take you longer to get to us, but you'll have the chance to see parts of the island you might not otherwise. If you've got that sense of adventure or the need to be thrifty, here's how you go:
Step one, have exact change! Click here for a list of fare prices. (This is important) Pay cash and request a free transfer.
Next, look up the time tables for routes 52 ? 55, Route 76, and 88A (click here for the timetables) The route you take depends on your arrival day & time.*
May we recommend route 55 via the Windward side (the scenic route).
Using the address we provide you with upon your reservation confirmation you will be able to determine the correct stop by using Google maps to plan your route. If you have any trouble you can call The Bus information office at (808) 848-5555 daily from 5:30am - 10:00pm PST.
*Make sure you double check your timetables and review all rider alerts via The Bus website.
