Resturants at the beach are in general expensive. Try resturant Mistral, located a little bit higher up in the willage.

Matina Hotel is situated in a quite garden with swimming pool and pool-bar, only 200m (2 minutes walk) from the beach of Kamari. Kamari village is the most preferred beach resort with a long pedestrian street along the beach. Kamari is only 8km (15 minutes by bus) from the capital of the island, Fira and close to all of the island's sites, port and airport, JTR.
(From Fira or anywhere else on the island you just need to follow the signs on the main street for Kamari village or Airport). There is also a very frequent bus service from Fira to Kamari and vice versa.
The hotel is 4km from Santorini's airport, JTR. When you leave the airport head towards Kamari. When you enter the village, go past the church and the hotel is on the left opposite two car rental companies.
The hotel is 12km from Athinios port, Santorini's main port. You can head to Kamari via Pyrgos village and Exo Gonia or via Pyrgos and Messaria.
There are buses from the port to Kamari in high season only. The Ancient Thira bus stop is approximately 20m from the hotel.
Athinios port is the only harbour of the island and it is usually called also as the new port. The old port of Santorini is in the capital of the island, Fira town and it is used only by cruise ships or yachts as it is not reachable by car.
Fira town is build on the top of the cliff and the port is at the bottom. You can either use the cable car to go down to the old port, or you can walk the 600 steps (20 minutes walk), or you can ride a donkey and let it take you down the stairs to the port.
