Budget Accommodation Europe Greece Santorini Budget Hotels Petra Nera Hotel
The location of Petra Nera is not fantastic. It is on a busy road quite a walk from the beach and quite noisy if you have a room facing the front. It could do with a good all over clean. We did not find it dirty but a good rubbing down of the doors and tiles would make you feel a bit more at ease.

We did not find it dirty but a good rubbing down of the doors and tiles would make you feel a bit more at ease. The showers are really to small and a struggle, and warm water is scares. The breakfast is basic and needs a bit of a variety after a couple of days. The owner is nice and helpful and always willing to drop you at the port/airport when you are arriving or leaving.

I stayed here for the first two nights of my island hopping holiday before moving on to other islands. The hotel was clean, the room was fairly basic but very adequate and the quiet, well maintained swimming pool was lovely to dip into at the end of the day. A pleasant self-service buffet was laid out for breakfast in nice surroundings. Probably best of all was the staff attitude, the owner and his father were so helpful and they both enjoyed taking the time to talk and socialise. Perissa's black sand beach isn't the most appealing but there are regular buses around the island. I fully recommend the Petra Nera Hotel and when I next visit Santorini it is the first place I will check out for availability.
