Great company, good vibe, really tasty food, a fabulous place for meeting other travellers, friendly and helpful staff! The setting is unbeatable! I lost myself in the Amazon surrounds. And the owner is fabulously interactive...! Thank you Marcel! Muy bien

About Camiri Floating Hostel and Bar Lounge

Camiri is a lifestyle more than anything else; living on the river, swinging in hammocks, chilling to wonderful views, meeting locals and avid travelers at our restaurant/ bar meanwhile listening to the best and most eclectic soundtrack of all Iquitos is what you can expect from us. We are listed on Wikipedia as one of the city's attractions. We offer you different budgets choices for being the closer you can to the exotic and unpredictable amazon nature.

Camiri room choices ranges from our amazing , 200 square meters (shown at CNN!) two-floor private floating bungalow, to low budget-mixed, female and male dorms and also medium budget private rooms.

We are proud (and happy) to be the only hostel in Iquitos away from the city noise (140,000 motorbikes). While other hotels in Iquitos can only offer you conventional four walls with a fan or air conditioned, at Camiri Floating Hostel you can expect much more!

Here you feel really in the Amazon even though we are only 250 meters away from Iquitos main square!

Like one of our guest said, Camiri provides you with all the opportunities to enjoy your time and get what you want out of Iquitos whether it be relaxing in a hammock watching the world go by, partying with the mix of locals and travelers who frequent the bar and listen to an eclectic collection of great music, swimming in the lagoon while a spectacularly colourful sunrise or sunset slowly unfolds in the distance within the beautiful and wide view from the back of the hostel. Camiri is the place to be.

At our hostel you can also experience the amazing changes in the river. Throughout the year, more than 10 meters can be the difference between August-October (when it dries) to May-June when it is at its highest.

Our rustic-style houses are built from recycled wood yet have all the modern facilities such as wi-fi, electricity and city water, towels and personal lockers are available with no extra fee.

You may wake up with breathtaking views to the river and the sound of the many birds that fly by here (as opposed to the citys unbearable motorcycle noises!).

Camiri Floating hostel is owned and managed by Marcel Bendayan, Iquitos mine of intriguing information according to the current edition of Lonely Planet Peru.
