Budget Accommodation Asia Taiwan Taipei Hostels Taipei City Jungle House
Once we got over the shock of how small the room is and the style of the property i.e. no reception, it was great. We realised that all we needed was a bed, a shower and a toilet in a clean room and it doesn't matter how big the room is.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
Once we got over the shock of how small the room is and the style of the property i.e. no reception, it was great. We realised that all we needed was a bed, a shower and a toilet in a clean room and it doesn't matter how big the room is.
There was plenty of hot water for a shower, a TV with lots of channels including some English, a fridge and cupboard and a very surreal plastic Xmas tree in the room.It was just a short walk 5 min walk to the MRT station and a great place to base yourself from in Taipei. One niggle is that the directions to the hostel/bedsit are not very good. They say to take exit 4 from the station but if you want the shortcut it is exit 2 (although if it's the first journey exit 4 is probably best if it's dark) then turn left outside the station to the footbridge. Turn right after the bridge (you will have to have crossed over) just past the police station walk straight for about 800 metres then the road bends right keep walking straight for about 1000 metres to the OK convenience store at the traffic lights, Cross over turn right and the entrance is nestled between the bike workshops on the left. The short cut from the hotel is to go straight on at the OK lights and the MRT station is in front of you at the end of the road (about 800 metres) cut through the 711 store to the MRT subway.
No good if you can' climb stairs it's on the 4th floor (3rd UK) and no lift.
Aircon too noisy
However, even with dodgy directions, a noisy aircon and Xmas in May I would definitely stay there again. A great place to stay if travelling on a budget.
