Posada Los Encuentros is an intimate lodge with seven guest rooms, a relaxing lounge, an informal bar, a wood-burning sauna, a naturally (thermal) heated lounging pool (minerals, no chemicals), a natural medicinal herb garden, and a well-equipped fitness centre. We offer nourishing breakfasts and other amenities.

We offer structured programs that range from language and culture study to physical and spiritual fitness. We also offer a special 3 or 5-day vacation package which includes local tours.

Conditions
General Policy on Confirmation/Guarantee of Reservations (Non-Peak Periods)
A reservation can be guaranteed for a specific period of time by paying for the first night in advance by: check or money order drawn on a U.S. or Guatemalan bank; U.S. postal or international money order; direct deposit to either our U.S. or Guatemalan account (instructions for the latter provided on request); or cash (US dollars or Quetzales.)
General Policy on Cancellations/Refunds
We will return, in full (minus $15 dollar processing fee) any deposits for reservations if cancellation notice is received in writing (letter/FAX or e-mail) no later than two days prior to start date of reservation.
Special Policies for Peak Periods (Christmas-New Years and Easter Week)
We do not increase our prices during holiday periods, however our reservation and refund policies are stricter. At these times, we only accept reservations for a minimum of 3 days, priced based on a minimum of 2-person occupancy. Confirmed reservations require full payment in advance. Reservations can be guaranteed by any of the already above stated methods. In case of cancellation, refund of 75% of a deposit will be made if cancellation notice is received 14 days or more before the first day of a reservation. No refund will be made for cancellations within 14 days of the first day of a reservation.
