Hostal Nilo SL, Barcelona, Spain

The service in the hostel was very bad. The receptionist did not speak English. I stayed for 4 days (this was arranged by a conference organiser and unfortunately I could not change the hostel) and asked to be moved to another room for a fifth night. In the morning I very kindly asked to move my luggage to the new room, which was refused due to the 12 o'clock check-in policy. The receptionist advised me to bring my luggage to the reception and check into my new room later in the day, and after that he said he could not guard my luggage. He was also very rude and when I politely asked to talk to his manager, he said he spoke no English and did not understand what I wanted.
While my review focuses particularly on the service, I should also note that the place was quite run-down and not very clean.

Very dirty rooms, very dirty bathrooms. They don't change the sheets at all( i stayed there for a week!! ). The bed that i was sleeping was shaken and crackled. Τhe shutters didn't closed.
Generally the hostal nilo was a bad experience.
