Vincent Guest House

What can I say... this budget hotel served our needs perfectly. Obviously we didnt expect much, especially for the price we paid but then again we only wanted a roof over our heads and somewhere to store our luggage.

About Vincent Guest House

Discount!!

the rooms on 1st and 2nd in November will enjoy 20% OFF discount!!!

There are a lot of hostels in Kowloon, but by the time you arrive you'll probably be too tired to check out more than a couple of them. Hopefully, this explanation will save you some time and energy. We suggest that you start your search on the 16th floor of the Mirador Mansion at Vincent's. It's easier to search from top to bottom, for one thing, but we think that you won't need to look elsewhere, because Vincent's really is a quality hostel. They've got the right facilities and the right attitude.

Let's talk about attitude first.

Just because a hostel has been around for a long time does not mean that they provide superior service. In fact, the opposite is often true. Long established hostels can become complacent.

Vincent's is the new kid on the block in the Kowloon hostel scene. Vincent's is out to prove that they can take care of you better for less money. They work hard and treat you fairly. They speak English, of course, and know Hong Kong inside and out. They can provide the services you need, whether it's ordering lunch (free delivery to hostel!), or helping you get a visa to China.

More importantly, everybody gets treated like a person whose needs are important, not just as a source of a few Hong Kong dollars. In one of the most money-driven places on the planet, Vincent's makes your satisfaction their main priority, and not just because they know that that's the key to doing business long term. They're good people who naturally want to do a good job and treat you well.

Although still struggling to recoup their investment, Vincent's owner and manager (Tso, Ching Ping) has pledged to contribute a portion of hostel income to charity. A percentage of the money you spend at Vincent's will be sent to the Ganluyu Group, a charitable organization working out of Chengdu, China that is devoted to helping disadvantaged Tibetan children. See the Ganluyu website for more information.

Vincent's supplies a comfortable top floor nest for you to come back to after your day's adventures. They don't offer anything fancy. Instead, they do a superior job at providing the essential elements to a good hostel experience:

• Excellent Location

• Low price

• Accessible laundry facilities

• Safe place to sleep and store your belongings

• Service: Knowledgeable, helpful staff that will give you the info you need

• Cleanliness

• Communications technology (Internet access, etc.)

• 24-hour access

Very important: Free internet and lanudry service for all guest.

We will try onr best to make you feel most like home when you stay with us!

The owner Miss Apple wish to see you in Hong Kong Soon!

What can I say... this budget hotel served our needs perfectly. Obviously we didnt expect much, especially for the price we paid but then again we only wanted a roof over our heads and somewhere to store our luggage.

For myself and my girlfriend we thought the twin room was small yet I guess this is the standard as space is a commodity in HK. Rooms were clean. Our host (Apple) was excellent. She was aware of our arrival and even knew that our flight had been delayed. Her knowledge on general queries was good - such as where to obtain a visa to China, what train do I need to take, etc.

Location was excellent. It is right on the main street, full of shops and 10 minutes from the harbour. The train (MTR) is a minute away.
The approach is somewhat daunting as when you enter the ground floor there are various shops and different cultures of people. I suggest you keep a close eye to your belongings until you reach your room which is on the 16th floor.. and yes the lifts are fully operational.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to any traveller who is on a budget.

Mirador mansion is a lot better than Chungking mansion. Mirador has got 6 elevators compared to Chungkings 2. When going up to the hostel dont take the first 2 elevators, go past them turn left then right. Those elevators Will take you straight to the entrance of the hostel. The wifi is good, slow sometimes but generally good. The rooms are clean and will be cleaned whenever you ask for it, they are by far the largest ive seen in Hong Kong. (twin and doubblebed). Apple (owner)is really nice and helpfull. Our stay here could not have been better! We Will stay here when were going back in november!
