If you've been in the road for a while and you need a homely break, the Aboriginal Hostel is the place where you should stop by. Our very experienced staff will help in all they can so you can enjoy your time here.
We are located in Central Budapest, but away from the annoying crowds and the infamous tourist traps that this city can have (sorry for that!). We're located within walking distance from the main sights, but in a less expensive area close to all that you need (restaurants, supermarkets, exchange points, ATM's, shops, etc). We are also surrounded by public transport.
The hostel is 5 mins. Away from the Jewish Quarter, the nightlife area, 10 mins. away from the Danube River, and 15 minutes away by foot from Keleti Train Station, the main one in the city
We're one of the few hostels in Budapest that has an amazing all-you-can-eat breakfast, including the house specialty: fresh hot waffles. We offer free Internet/Wifi, and free usage of towels and linen, and free tea, coffee, sugar and herbs for your home cooked meal. Also free maps and printing of your boarding passes. The top one freebie: a freeload of laundry if you stay 3 or more nights.
We have a relaxed 24/7 check in policy, so whenever you come to the city you can ring our bell. You might need to wait until 1PM or so to get your bed though. Meanwhile, you can use our luggage room. For the check out, we only need your bed by 12PM, but we're happy if you hang around in the hostel until your departing time.
By Plane: Either from T1 or T2, take the bus 200E until the last stop (Köbánya-Kispest). Then, take the metro until "Kalvin ter" stop. From there, you can follow the "By bus" instructions, right below.
By bus: Take the Metro until "Kalvin ter" stop. Walk out on "Muzeum Krt" exit and walk towards the big white building (National Museum). Right after that, on the side of the museum, you'll find our street: Brody Sandor utca. Walk on the left side and after crossing the third street look for the number 46.
By train (Keleti station and Deli station): Take the metro until Blaha Lujza ter. Walk out to the only metro exit that is in the middle of the square. Turn left immediately after the stairs and follow the tram lines of the main street (if you're right, you'll see soon a McDonalds on the left side). Keep walking on the right side of that road (József körút) until "Kölcsey utca" (the third street you'd cross after going out of the metro station). Turn right in Kölcsey utca, walk after the small park (Gutenberg ter) and you'll see our street (Brody Sandor utca). We're in the second entrance on the right side, building 46.
You can also walk from Keleti Train st. Walk out of the main entrance to the left, and cross the first street, and then start walking right. Keep walking on a straight line, going under the overpass. By then you'll be in Rakoczi út. If you go on the left side, on the 6th street after the overpass you'll see Blaha Lujza ter. Follow the "By train" directions.
