Even businessmen too are provided with accommodation by mango house. The name "Mango House" came, because of two nice mango trees in the garden.You are going to take accommodations from Mango House, cafe, jewelry shops, shops, and banks are around you. You don't have to go by taxi for them. All of them within walking distance. It is short walking to sea from Mango House and a few minutes walk from Galle town to Mango House. As soon as you reach to Mango House, you are welcome warmly with delicious welcome drink. Come and enjoy with warm family hospitalities in Mango House.Foreign travelers or local travelers who come down south never miss to make a visit inside the Dutch fort in Galle, as it is historically worthy visiting.You may be interested in staying inside Dutch fort, during your holiday spent in down south, in order to experience colonial atmosphere and enjoy Dutch pride in the fort. Mango House is a very well located guest house in Gall Fort area. The hall is well done up and the rooms are spacious and clean . The bathroom was neat and clean. Nothing to complain of other than the service . This may be a one off case but there was absolutely no effort at making the guest comfortable. There were no facilities for tea or coffee in the morning . Even a request for tea fell on deaf years. Neither was a coffee/tea maker provided in the room. To top it up, there was no water provided in the room and none available even to be bought.
In short a lovely comfortable room with service that was totally disappointing.

Very kind and considerate owners and staff, great location for peace and quiet. Only negative comments would be that there was nowhere to store clothing in the room (i.e. wardrobe/draws) and the rooms were not serviced at all in our 5 days there. All that said I would definitley reccomend this as a short stay hostel.

Mango House is a cozy and beautiful place, located in a prime location. It is just 5 minutes walk from the ocean and a 10 minute walk from the fort and the Railwaystation. It is a very homely place, ideal for single travelers. They are very co-operative and help you whenever you need their assistance.
The rooms are spacious and beautiful. It is a lovely place.
