About Casa El Mirador
We rent a wide and ventilated room with a double bed, and the possibility of adding another personal one; the place is comfortable, and the visitor will be treated with courtesy and respect by the proprietors Isabel and Julio, in a family calm atmosphere. Owners can communicate in English.
The room we rent has air conditioned, private bathroom with cold water and heat 24 hours, refrigerator, TV and telephone. It has access to an independent balcony from which the sea is sighted. The price doesn't include breakfast. Cuban delicious foods are offered.
Accommodation Information
We offer breakfast, which consists on fruit cocktail (Macedonian), milk, bread and butter, eggs and coffee expresso. We also offer delicious and abundant Cuban foods with prices always below the ones of tourism restaurants; price depends of the menu asked by the guest. Facilities included in the price: Linen and toiletries, 24 hours security, storage and care of baggages; laundry; parking; telephone for national calls, emails, & free information of city points of interest, local & national tours, hours, prices & means of transportation, connections with particular houses with rooms for rent in provinces, etc.
Location Information
From the International Airport "José Martí", all along Rancho Boyeros Avenue, you arrive to Carlos III (Salvador Allende) Avenue, which up to 1000 m approximately (3rd traffic light) is intercepted by the street Marques González, bending left meets shortly with (5 streets) the street San Rafael. Total trip delays around 25 minutes and it doesn't exceed of 20 CUC.

There are some places you are lucky enough to stay that set the tone for the rest of your visit to a country. We cannot recommend highly enough how at home, comfortable, well informed and well directed we were staying at Casa El Mirador. Julio and his family were stunning hosts and made our stay in Cuba a special one, both at the start and on departure from Havana.
Right from the start you realize why staying in a Casa rather than a hotel is preferential in Cuba, getting to reside in an interesting distinctive property and location, to learn more about the Cuban life and culture and about visiting options in Havana and beyond. What is more, you can opt in for home cooked food of great quality and quantity which frankly dispels any myths about Cuban cuisine. The best food we had in Central America and the Caribbean was in Cuba.
Julio could not have been kinder in recommending places to visit and places to stay (other Casa of high quality) across Cuba of equally good service and value. Julio was attentive to our interests and in recommending locations for trekking and snorkelling.
Our room with ensuite bathroom, fridge, balcony and newly decorated bedroom was to a high standard and very clean. The location was nicely away from the tourist hub but with all key sites within 15-20 minutes walk.
Casa in Cuba are very good value and the service and hospitality excellent.
If you want a good place to start and end your holiday in Cuba then El Mirador is a great place to stay and to link into a fine network of Casa options across Cuba.
