Comfortable, inexpensive, cosy hostel in Budapest downtown with style and character.
You can find us right in the ORIGO, in the very downtown of Budapest, but not in the very touristic area, a little bit hidden, next to Kossuth square, Parliament and the spectacular Danube corso with magnificent view to Buda castle, but also close to the pedestrian area (Vaci street).

Ours is a small, cosy and clean guesthouse on the second floor of a nice, old Pest downtown building. We have only 4 rooms (DBL room, TWIN room, a TRIPLE and 1 QUAD room for 3-4 persons), and 2 very nice bathrooms (one with bathtube, the other with shower).
We also have a separate apartment next to the main hostel with a small dormitory and an ensuite double room.
In our hostel there is a living room (with internet corner and sat TV) connected to a big kitchen, which is very well equipped: oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, laundry. We also have a nice terrace.
We created a special atmosphere for all of our rooms, and they have their own colour and style: see pictures!

Conditions
You can not cancel your booking 48 hours prior to arrival,
otherwise 1 night stay is to be paid by banktransfer as a cancellation fee. After arrival you can not cancel your booking.
Check in from 09:00 till 23:00
Please note: we have only a very small hostel and therefore we do not have nonstop reception; for this reason we need to know your estimated arrival time.
We will be in the guesthouse to let you in (check-in) at the time you informed us about in the reservation form.
We will wait for you for 2 hours.
If you did not inform us about your delay earlier, and you arrive more than 2 hours later (or much earlier than reported to us), you may not be able to check in and need to call (sms) us at any of our contact numbers:
Our staff will arrive then in 30-45 minutes to let you in / arrange check in.
To avoid waiting for us we suggest you to inform us in advance about any change in your arrival time. In this case you can spare time for you and for us.

Directions
Wherever you are, take the red metro (line 2) and get out at Kossuth square. ORIGO is just a 2 minute walk away.
When you get off the Kossuth square metro stop, turn right and go about 15-20 meters. At the corner turn right again to Nador street. From there walk 50-60 meters and you will find Origo Guesthouse right next to Little Irish Caffee.
From Ferihegy airport:
The easiest way is to take the airport transfer for 2 500 HUF (~10 EUR)
or the taxi (Zona taxi has a desk at the airport, they are correct, one way airport -hostel transfer costs ap. 4 500 HUF / 16 EUR / taxi)
or
- Get on the repter busz (airport bus) at the terminal and get off at the last stop (Kobanya Kispest).
Take the blue line metro (M3) toward Úpest-központ and travel till Deak square.
You can change for the red line metro (line 2) and travel one stop till Kossuth square.
Or if you don't want to validate an other ticket, walk appr. 10
minutes: cross Erzsebet square and walk till Vorosparty square, from there head north and walk till our Guesthouse on Nador street.
From Keleti railway station:
- Take the red line metro towards Deli pu. and travel till Kossuth square (4th stop).
From Nyugati railway station:
- Take the blue line metro toward Kobanya-Kispest and get off at Deak square (2nd stop).
You can also go till Arany Janos u metro stop and walk 5 minutes from there.
From Déli railway station:
- Take the red line metro toward Örs Vezer Tere and travel till Kosuth square (3rd stop).
Népliget int. bus station:
- Take the blue line metro (M3) toward Úpest-központ and travel till Deak square (6th stop).
