Pretty decent place to stay. The hostel itself doesn't feel like Shanghai (that's a good thing); it's pretty clean overall (although there was a cockroach in our room). We stayed in a twin room, and the bathroom is especially nice -- very nice showers.

Breakfast is a bit greasy but good value anyway. The location is on a small side street, but if it were in a busier part of town, it wouldn't be as quiet as it is.

Only big problem is that the free wi-fi isn't very reliable or fast, but again, that's China. Overall, if I go back to Shanghai and need a place to stay, I'll be happy to go back to Rock & Wood.

Amazing place, will 100% be staying here if I'm ever in Shanghai again. Met really cool people and the place/bed was really clean.
