About Bolholt Apartments
Bolholt Apartments is the perfect choice for the independent traveler wishing for the comfort of a hotel and the privacy of a home.
BOLHOLT is a modern apartment hotel offering 13 practical and comfortable fully equipped self-catering studio apartments on the 4th floor. All apartments include a fully equipped kitchen and a shower bathroom. Interior is newly renovated from top to bottom.
In order to offer low prices lobby staff is almost none existent but any necessary information is conveniently located in the lobby. We use modern technology to check guests in and you can use the free telephone in the lobby to contact us at anytime
Towels and bed linen are provided. Towel change every other day. Linen changed every 6th day. Non-smoking apartments only. Free wireless internet is in all apartments. Free laundry facilities. Lounge room with sofas, pool table, dartboard and a computer with internet access. Free telephone in the lobby for domestic calls. Free parking spaces. Ideal for long or short stays.
From the north side of Bolholt there is a magnificent view of the bay and our beautiful Esja Mountain.

Great view of the landscape from my room. Have a first class view of the fireworks on New Year Eve from the apartment.
Should have a mechanism on the door to ensure that they are closed slowly and softly as a few occasions, the neighbouring doors was closed rather hard and the room shook.
Internet connection rather slow. Suggest upgrading the speed.
Also, bring your own entertainment as there is TV programmes are rather limited. BBC1 sometimes have no sound.
Will still recommend Bolholt to other travellers to Iceland.

Perfect choice for us, clean, modern, excellent facilities and room, warm and cosy, good shower, free internet and laundry. 10-15 min walk to downtown, but excellent value. We loved it! The mexican restaurant very close by was good too, with huge portions of food.

Great place with a nice kitchenette. Staff were really helpful when our booking did not seem to go through at first. Definitely a place I would recommend friends to stay in if they do go to Reykjavik.

Iceland was a great experince in itself, BOLHOLT Apartments definetely lived up to our modest expactations as one of our best experincences as a hostel/ dorm.

We arrived early in the morning from Seattle. The manager stored our bags for us and directed us where to go for breakfast. His cleaner was going to prepare our room for us and get us in ASAP. After a leisurly breakfast and a walk around, we got back to the Bolholt and found the manager finishing of preparing our room himself. The cleaner had come down ill, and gone home. He was more than accomodating.
The room was just perfect for us and convenient to all that we needed. It is only a short walk to the Hilton, and that is where the On/Off Bus and others leave from, although they will also pick you up at the Bolholt.
Clean and inexpensive. Loved it!

When we first arrived we were given No 11 which had a noisy pipe in the cupboard which kept us awake. After speaking to the staff who were helpful we moved to No 6 which was much better, quiet and had a nice view. Bolholt has now moved to a new breakfast system which is to provide the food in the fridge for your own convenience, it works well as long as the staff remember to refill every two days. They need reminding. However we were generally pleased with the apartment, convenietly located for the swimming pool, realively quiet, helpful staff and good views. I would recommend them as a good base to explore Reykjavik.
