We did return very recently from Reykjavik, where we stayed at Einholt Appartments. To make it short: If you don't mind living in the basement with all the people in the street literally walking by just next to your head, you might want to stay there... - but I'm sure there are better places to stay in Reykjavik. The location just on the corner of Reykjavik 101 is quite good actually, although you will find hotels and guesthouses right in the middle.

Welcome to Einholt studio apartments guesthouse. Einholt is a modern stylish self catering apartment guesthouse located in Reykjavik city centre offering 14 double studio apartments all with a private bathroom and a kitchenette. The guesthouse is just few steps away from Laugavegur our main shopping street, filled with clothe and culture stores, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. We'll be looking for a different accomodation next time we'll return to Iceland...

Very clean, recently renovated room with nice new bathroom and very comfortable bed.
Easy walk to main shopping street.
Arrangements are in the process to be on the airport pickup and drop off list.
Happy to stay there again .

Directions

When coming from the international airport, take the flybus (www.flybus.is) to the Reykjavik Terminal. There you hop onto a shutle wich takes you to Einholt guesthouse. Tell the bus driver the name of the guesthouse and he will drop you of.

If you are hirring a car rental at the airport please use your map to find us. We are just above Hlemmur, the main city bus terminal on Laugavegur.
