Guests at Midlothian’s Kirkhill Mansion are able to enjoy staying in the outdoors, but with the security, warmth and extra protection from the weather provided by unique wooden cabins.

Adventure in the Meadow’s Kocoon cabins are set in the peaceful, beautiful grounds of Kirkhill Mansion. Guests wake up to countryside views, but are just 20 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh.

Breakfasts are served in the mansion’s dining room, whilst the Grand Hall is used as a guest lounge. There is also archery, falconry and other outdoor activities offered in the grounds.

Full scottish breakfast costs £9.00 per person per night and is not included in the room rate.

Used like a tent, each 2-person Kocoon cabin is a solid structure with padded insulation and a window for ventilation. Also featured are solar-powered LED lights and a 12-volt power supply. There is a shower and toilet block on-site.
