This is a Trusted Review. Why?
The cabin is in the middle of nowhere which is just what we wanted. The surroundings are beautifully bleak, and very icelandic, and it is by a little lake with a seating area and some other cabins which were empty when we were there (may). It is warm and cosy and I would recommend it. However, we never saw the owner who said he was too busy to come and collect the cash payment, and ended up taking our payment from my card. This meant we had hundreds of euros we didn't need, and had the inconvenience of carrying them around. The place itself was clean enough although they could do with a visit to Ikea for new bed linen. However the hot tub needed emptying and thoroughly cleaning rather than just adding endless chlorine. As a swimming pool owner I know what I am taking about, but won't go into detail as I don't want to put people off... overall a bargain, and providing you have a car and want to self cater, I would recommend it. Kids loved it too.
