About Haga Haga Hotel
A beautifull located hotel on the Eastern Cape Wild Coast of South Africa with great views,great rooms and lovely beaches and a safe enviroment.Haga Haga is situated on the Eastern Cape Wild Coast 70km from East London; there is 13km of gravel road and conditions range from good to bad, but never inaccessible. This is what has kept Haga Haga the pristine place that it is.Haga Haga as a village was started in the early 1920's when farmers from the hinterland acquired farms here for winter grazing; they would move everything, goats, cattle, sheep etc by ox wagon down to the coast for 3 to 4 months. To cross the beach they would unspan one team of oxen and hook them onto the other team, hence the word Haka Haka which is the Xhosa word to "hook on", this is how Haga Haga got its name.15 Hotel rooms, either twin or double, en suite with bath or shower, sea facing with balconies,tea/coffee facilities, radio, fans and heating.
