Welcome to the Karon Sunshine Guesthouse, Bar & Restaurant in Karon Beach on Phuket Island, Thailand, a boutique style Guesthouse that is Australian owned and managed and has had pleasure delivering warm, genuine and personable hospitality for the past 5+ years.

Our inexpensive accommodation is safe, friendly, clean, quiet and comfortable and close to Karon's nightlife and entertainment area and only a 5 minute walk to the exquisite white sands of Karon Beach.

Karon Sunshine Guesthouse, Bar & Restaurant has developed a reputation with guests ,customers and visitors for being friendly, helpful and a great place to relax and chill out. We have tried to create and environment in the rooms, restaurant and bar that is hassle free, easy and comfortable.

The rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern Thai style whilst the patio area on the ground floor has comfortable stylish rattan furniture where you can sit an watch the world go by or chat with folks from all over the words and all walks of life.

We have free WIFI access throughout the premises and a book exchange library available in the Bar.

All the World's top sporting events are available either on your cable TV in your room or in the Bar.

Our Restaurant serves fresh and healthy authentic Thai cuisine ( Thai spicy to not so spicy) and some classic European dishes. You can dine inside or alfresco style.

Our bar serves a wide range of cocktails, beers, soft drinks, juices and shots and our house specialty - Irish Coffee is the best in Karon - try it and tell us!

Karon Sunshine Guesthouse, Bar & Restaurant has 3 room types - superior, standard and economy. All rooms have double beds and single fold up beds are available on request.

All rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable.

Superior and standard rooms have windows with a view outside the building, our economy room does not have windows except at the ceiling level to let in natural light.

Superior rooms have a small alcove area with comfortable rattan chairs which is great for reading watching TV or just chilling out. Superior rooms also have a DVD player.

In room amenities include - air con, ceiling fan, in room safe, en suite shower and toilet, tea/coffee facilities, iron, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, cotton buds, cable TV, WIFI access, blackout curtains, fire extinguisher, fire escape ladder, wardrobe, vanity unit, hangars, night table and reading lights.

All bed linen and towels are provided and rooms are cleaned daily. We also supply king size beach towels for your daily use.

From the airport or bus terminal:

a)Try and take a metered taxi from the airport ( metered taxi's are cheaper than the grey limo taxi's are more friendly as you are likely dealing with the owner/driver not just the driver and will bring you directly here) . Ask for Karon Beach. We are close to Karon roundabout/circle in a small U street opposite Little Mermaid Hotel on Patak Rd East not the beach road. Look out for Little Mermaid Hotel, Centara Karon Resort, 2 Chefs Rest, Papaya Rest.

Metered taxi fare - approx baht 500/550 from the airport. It is unlikely you will get a meterd taxi from the bus station so you need to look for a Tuk Tuk or go to the local bus station which is about 3 or 4 kilometers from the main bus terminal. Tuk Tuk or motor bike taxi will take you there.

b) you can take the airport shuttle bus to Phuket town and the local bus to Karon Beach. When you hit Karon folow the instructions above. Make sure you get off at Karon Beach!

c) you can also share a mini van from the airport which makes many hotel drops but is only approx baht 180/200
