Budget Accommodation Asia Japan Tokyo Hostels Oak Hostel
We stayed at Oak Hostel for two nights in a Japanese style double ensuite. We were travelling with our 1-year-old baby. As we arrived before our due check-in time, we were able to leave our luggage in the storage room and head out sightseeing.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We stayed at Oak Hostel for two nights in a Japanese style double ensuite. We were travelling with our 1-year-old baby. As we arrived before our due check-in time, we were able to leave our luggage in the storage room and head out sightseeing. The hostel is located just off a main road and is so close (10 minute walk) to a major train station "Ueno" as well as two metro stations (we also took a train direct from Ueno Keisei all the way to the airport - 1.5 hours, very convenient). Our room was small but had everything we needed plus some extras - bathrobes, slippers, tea-making facilites and mini fridge. The price was very reasonable too by Tokyo standards - approx 55 euros for the room each night. We were able to get an extra thick quilt which we could put next to our mattress for our baby to sleep on. We appreciated the fact they had free internet for us to use and there is lots of information on places to visit on the boards in the lobby. We were overall extremely satisfied for a budget hotel and plan to stay there again should we visit Tokyo in the future.
