An authentic Lisbon experience a cosy, tastefully furnished apartment in Lisbon’s oldest and most famous historical quarter the Castelo de São Jorge.

A cosy, charming flat, approximately 50 m2, (150 sq ft), perfect for up to 4 people, recently renovated, with original wooden floors.

Available on request, at no extra charge: child’s high chair and cot (with linen);

House linen: Each bed has sheet, pillow, and choice of light summer or winter duvet (with both combined, a full winter duvet is obtained);

For each guest 2 towels are provided: bath, and hand towels, as well as one bathmat per rental;

Rates include change of linen once a week.

Cleaning is not included. Please leave appartment in reasonable condition or an extra cleaning fee of €50 will be charged.

Check in from 16h00 to 22h00, check out from 8h00 to 11h00. Check in or check out surcharge, between 22h00 and 8h00: €30.

There are no additional fees for utilities, Internet, taxes, etc.

Iron and ironing board;

Cleaning: vacuum cleaner, broom, mop, etc.;

Heating: Lisbon enjoys a warm southern European climate, and the apartment is very sunny and light. However there is an electric oil heater in every room, which can be regulated with thermostat to ensure an even, overall temperature;

Safety: the flat has a fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke detector, first aid kit and clearly placed emergency numbers. The owners live 50 metres away and may be contacted if necessary;

The flat is on a second floor with no elevator;

Traffic restrictions: the flat is located in the "Castelo de São Jorge", within a car-restricted area where only taxis and residents' cars are allowed to park. Cars may enter for up to 30 minutes at no charge, for loading and unloading. There is a public covered car park just outside the restricted area.

Not allowed: No parties, no pets, no smoking.

The master bedroom is with a double bed (1,40m x 2,00m). There are 2 bedside tables with reading lamps, a large wardrobe with 3 doors, a chest of drawers with mirror, and a stool;

1 bedroom with 1 bunkbed (each bed 90cm x 2,00m), 2 bedside tables with reading lights, a chest of drawers and a mirror;

1 living room offering 2-seat sofa, 2 armchairs, tables, reading lamps, 15” colour TV, DVD player, 1 Sony radio and CD player with MP3 and USB entry, playing cards, board games, lending library books, magazines and guides to Lisbon. Unlimited WIFI internet connection at no extra cost;

Kitchen / dining area: fully equipped kitchen, with table and chairs seating up to four. Kitchen has fridge and mini freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, filter coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, food blender, crockery and silverware for four people, dishcloths;

1 bathroom: bathtub with adjustable wall shower, WC, sink, towel rail, shelves, magnifying shaving mirror, hairdryer, rubber bath mat.

Bus: 37 every 10 minutes on weekdays, every 15-30 minutes on weekends (get off at the last stop "Castelo");

Tramway: 12 and 28 every 10-12 minutes on weekdays, every 20-25 minutes on weekends (get off at the "Miradouro de Santa Luzia" stop, and then 5 minute walk uphill to the "Castelo");

Subway: Linha verde / Green line every 4-5 minutes (get off at the "Rossio/Praça da Figueira" station, and then take 37 bus from "Praça da Figueira" to "Castelo" - 8 minute bus ride);

Taxis: plentiful and relatively cheap in Lisbon. On weekdays, during daytime: from the airport, allow for about 20 minutes and €10 fare; from the "Parque das Nações" railway station, some 15 minutes and €8 fare; from "Santa Apolónia" railway station, under 10 minutes and €5 fare; and from downtown Lisbon, under 10 minutes and up to €8 fare. Although the "Castelo de São Jorge" is an historical area, with restricted access for cars, taxis are allowed in and can drive up to the house.
