A guesthouse located in a quiet alley in Kyoto created from a refurbished small, one-story machiya (traditional townhouse).

The house is only an 8-minute walk from a transportation hub in the northern part of Kyoto, Kitaoji Station, and is within strolling distance from Nishigin, Daitokujii Temple, Kitayama, and the Kamo River. In our neighborhood, you can enjoy trying out several different public bathhouses, and touring the longest shopping mall in Kyoto, Shin-Omiya Shouten Gai.

It would please us greatly if you are able to feel Japan\'s eternal flow of time during your stay.

Check-in is during 3:00pm to 10:00 pm.

Check-out is 10:am

And Payment is only cash and please pay the check-in time.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Small World Guesthouse is a nice place if you want to experience a Japanese tradicional house. It is not about sleeping in a tatami room but about a traditional housing plan (what means small spaces but also patios). It is a beautiful house but it is located far away from Geon district and the city centre, what can be a problem if you want to experience Kyoto nightlife. But if you just want to rest, it is a nice, quiet place to stay.
