Rainbow Beach is the gateway to Fraser Island and this tiny surf town has one of the best beaches and coastal views on the East Coast!! We are set in a cool and relaxing tropical surround only 2 minutes walk from the beach and local amenities with our fun and lively staff only too happy to help!

The name Rainbow Beach comes from the rainbow coloured cliffs where 74 different shades of coloured sand can be found. In an Aboriginal legend the cliffs were coloured when Yinigie the spirit of the Gods representing Rainbows was killed in a fight, spreading his colourful spirit across the cliffs.
