The resort and the view was great. But there is no wired internet as stated. So, I carried my laptop all the way from Singapore for nothing. Secondly, watch out for the billing at the cafe facing the sea. The price in the menu and the bill presented are different. Twice I had to point it out. Also, I was wrongly billed while checking out as well. But there is this great PR Guy called Lloyd and also a lady called Mary Rose.

Nostalgia Yasin Bungalow, located at the east coast of Bintan Island, Indonesia. Spend the beautiful week at our private beach. Good Points
1. Beautiful Beach facing north-west with knee level water that stretches 200m out to the sea. Good for a romantic walk and some great photo shoot.
2. A value for money option for backpackers
3. Good get-away from city stress for 2-3days
4. Only 30min drive to the city Tanjung Pinang for cheap daily essentials
5. Seafood is good and relatively easy on the pocket. Can also try a nearby Seafood restaurant on Sun-Moon Island.
6. Free transport to its sister resort Agro for water/sea activities (Good to visit during Non Monsoon Season - from May to Sep) and swimming pool facilities.

9. Friendly staffs (Can ask for Susan, a very helpful chinese staff for tour)
10. Can kite surf (but must bring your own kite)Points to note
1. Do bring extra local currency instead of SD or USD for a much more favorable exchange rate for it can help you save around 10%.
2. The transport including car rental on the island is very much monopolized by the sole Taxi company Indorent. So be prepared to pay a RANSOM unless you want to start another Taxi company to compete.
3. Even the locals prefer to do their shopping at Batam. So shop to the minimum and spend more time by the sun, sand and sea would never go wrong.
4. Mosquitoes over there can be merciless, beware! The mosquito net is full of holes, its more like a victim trap, a blood donation centre. Therefore bring a portable tent if you want some sleep at night. (That's what I did).
5. As the sea bungalow is above the beach/water, be careful not to drop anything during high tide. (I drop the key while opening the door to my bungalow but thankfully it was low tide, so it was just sand beneath my bungalow).
6. The tap water has a strange taste. So get some mineral water at the terminal.

Bintan island in Indonesia is easily accessible from Singapore by fast ferry. There are two gateways to reach our place:
1)Take ferry (Penguin, Wave Master, or Falcon) from Tanah Merah ferry terminal (Singapore) to Tanjung Pinang 'Sri Bintan Pura' ferry terminal (Bintan Island-Indonesia).
We organize land transfer between Tanjung Pinang and Nostalgia Yasin Bungalow. Pick up service is chargeable at IDR 180,000 (One Hundred and Eighty Thousands Indonesia Rupiah) per 5 persons. Usually takes one hour.
2) Take ferry (Bintan Resort Ferry) from Tanah Merah ferry terminal (Singapore) to 'Bandar Bentan Telani' Teluk Sebung/Bintan Resort ferry terminal (Bintan Island Indonesia).
We organize land transfer between Bintan Resort and Nostalgia Yasin Bungalow. Pick up service are chargeable at IDR 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousands Indonesia Rupiah) per 5 persons. Usually takes two hours.
