Being one of the original backpacker resorts on the Gold Coast, Trekkers is unique in it's homely feel and personal service.
Our original 'Queenslander' house has only 12 rooms with spacious dorms ranging from three to six beds. All rooms have a fan! You'll find our doubles charming and spacious. Every guest has a duvet/doona, soft pillow and a bedside lamp.
Situated just outside the centre of Surfers Paradise Trekkers is a small, fun, friendly hostel which is quoted from Lonely planet and Let's Go Travel guides as 'One of Best Hostels on the East coast'. We provide a FREE shuttle service all day long to/from the centre of Surfers Paradise.
You'll love the FREE breakfast, and be delighted by the FREE tea & coffee all day. Take a FREE boogie board and ride the surf in the famous beaches of Surfers Paradise. Enjoy lazing by our beautiful tropical pool or let our friendly staff plan your days and nights.
We have a full tour desk with lots of backpackers deals on offer. Ask about our cheap & fun surf lessons. The theme parks are close by, so make the most of it and let us plan the rest of your trip.
We have a fully equipped commercial kitchen and great BBQ area for your enjoyment. Laundry facilities of course and pool table within the comfort of Trekkers.
At night time we offer free Entry to Nightclubs. And twice weekly you can join the famous Club Crawl organised by the hostels exclusively for backpackers on the Gold Coast.
We are one of the very few hostels who are unlicensed, so therefore you can save dollars bring your own alcohol. So what are you waiting for. Book now!

Directions
From Brisbane International Airport to Trekkers
1.Get the train directly from the Airport to Helensvale Station on the Gold Coast.
2.Get a Surfside Bus (Yellow local buses) the 709 or 715- to Southport.
3.Get off at Australia Fair Shopping Centre OR at the Owen's Lane stop on Scarborough Street). Trekkers is a short walk from both these stops.
From Coolangatta Airport to Trekkers
1.Catch the 700 bus to the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre and then call from the Backpackers Desk and we will pick you up.
2.You can also get the Gold Coast Shuttle bus (big orange buses) which is a door to door service directly to Trekkers for under $20.
