From October 1st 2009 through February 28th 2010 all Family Rooms at Sleepzone - The Burren will be 60/room/night.
A Family Room has 1 double bed and from 1 to 5 single beds - so can comfortably accommodate 2 adults with up to 5 children. All Family Rooms have a private bathroom.

Getting to Sleepzone - The Burren:
An easy and enjoyable way to travel to Sleepzone - The Burren is with Galway Tour Company. The bus collects at Sleepzone Galway City every day at 9.45am, does a tour of The Burren, and you can 'Jump Off' at Sleepzone - The Burren at about 2.00pm. When you would like to return to Galway City you can simply 'Jump On' again, complete the tour of The Burren and return to Galway City by about 6.00pm. Discount tickets are available at Reception at Sleepzone Galway City.
This tour includes a two-hour stop at the Cliffs of Moher, as well as stops at Dunguaire Castle, Poulnabrone Dolmen and Kilfenora Cathedral.

Sleepzone The Burren is situated in the spa town of Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare from where it boasts close proximity to some of Ireland's most famous areas of natural beauty, including the world-renowned Cliffs of Moher, towering 200m above the ocean, and The Burren region 400sq miles of unique limestone terrain.

Sleepzone was great, simple, but nice and clean rooms, a very helpful and warm staff, fully equipped kitchen, although the stove could use a cleaning once in a while...
Other than that, very good place for budget accommodation, a lot of brochures, pretty much everything a traveler needs. We'll definitely stay there again.

Brilliant hostel, nice showers, comfortable beds, free parking and excellent kitchen. probably a bit in accessible if you haven't got a car though. We had a great time and all the staff are amazingly helpful - will definately be going back!!!!

Good value hostel accommodation in a nice building. The only negative - the description stated 'linen included' which we assumed to mean bedding and towels. No towels in the room. Apart from this, very fair for it's price and the staff were friendly.

Directions
BY CAR
From Shannon Airport:
On exiting the airport take the N18 to Ennis. From Ennis take the N85 to Ennistymon and from Ennistymon take the N67 to Lisdoonvarna. Sleepzone - The Burren is on the left side approaching the town (just past the Kincora Hotel).
From Galway City:
Take the N18 southwards from Galway. In Kilcolgan take a right turn onto the N67; go through Kinvara and then on to Ballyvaughan where you turn left heading towards Lisdoonvarna. At the town square take the right turn and Sleepzone - The Burren is 100 meters up on the right hand side (just past The Burren Smokehouse). Journey of 40 miles (1 hour +).
BY BUS
Bus Eireann offers connections to Lisdoonvarna from:
Galway at 10.25 and 17.55 Mon-Sat and at 10.25 only on Sun;
Limerick at 09.35 and 17.35 Mon-Sat and 19.15 on Sun;
Ennis at 10.25 and 18.25 Mon-Sat, 12.25 and 19.55 Sun;
Shannon Airport at 09.20 and 17.20 Mon-Sat, 08.55 and 11.20 Sun;

Dublin Airport at 06.00 and 13.00 Mon-Sat, 14.35 Sun;

THE GALWAY TOUR COMPANY
If you want to incorporate a tour while travelling to the hostel contact The Galway Tour Company (www.thegalwaytourcompany.com). Their bus departs from Sleepzone Galway every day at approx. 9.45 a.m. It does a half day tour of the Burren including a long stop at The Cliffs of Moher, before dropping guests off at Sleepzone - The Burren. If you are returning to Galway you can pick up the tour from the Sleepzone - The Burren at approx. 2.30 p.m. daily, completing the remainder of the tour before returning to Galway at approx. 5.30 p.m. The cost of a return ticket is Eur 20.00.
