About Letterfrack Lodge
Letterfrack Lodge is situated 200 metres of the N59 in Letterfrack village, Connemara. We offer a high standard of hostel accommodation with 11 ensuite rooms. All rooms have timber floors and tiled bathrooms. There are two large well equipped kitchens, two dining areas and a TV lounge. Breakfast is available if requested but is not included in the price. We can cater for large groups up to 56 people.
The Hostel is new, clean and well run. There are free maps available showing walks in the area for all grades of walkers. Michael, the owner, has a vast knowledge of the area and will point you in the right direction.
The village is a three minute walk where there is good restaurants, music and craic in the pubs. The Connemara National Park & Kylemore Abbey are a short walk from the Hostel.

The price is not really justified, it is equivalent to a B&B but the service is not absolutely comparable (breakfast not included).
The environment of the establishment is durty and is not welcoming.
The manager is absent. The welcome was in the hands of 2 youngmen likeables but without experience (only arrived from a few days).
The phone rang during a long time in the evening because no people was present to answer.
In the morning, nobody is present for departure and cashing of customs.
We have observed during our presence 2 brekdowns of electricity, one of them, early in the morning, at the time of departures, delaying the guests. No responsable was present.
Rooms are not confortable : only one central light with a single switch, no bedsise lamp.
The bathroom was hardly clean : the pedal bin was not empty when we have had our room.
There was not accessories : hair drier, soaps, shampoos.
The rooms have none decoration.
The common kitchen was not cleaned every day.This establishment don't must be recommanded.
We have staid 4, 5 and 6 of june 2011.
