Bookings in our 12-bed dorm must be 4 nights or longer in order to be eligible for the airport pick-up. Free pick up not available for groups larger than 5 people.

All guests must observe the rules and regulations of our Hotel.

The Hotel Office is open for check-in from 7:30 am - 10 pm, but 24 hour service is available for late or early arrivals. Simply call for 24 hour service.

Check in is available from 2p.m. If you arrive before this time you may store your luggage in the office until such time that your room is ready.

Latest checkout time is strictly 10 am on the day of departure. We have a luggage room if you need to store your luggage after check out (FREE SERVICE).

General Cancellations: Must be made with more than 48 hours notice or 1 day accommodation will be charged. Please ensure you receive confirmation from us via email or fax of your cancellation.

NOTE: CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR BOOKINGS (18th Dec to 3rd Jan inclusive): We may require full payment in advance, prior to your arrival. Also, we will only refund 50% of balance outstanding of any subsequent cancellation during the period 18th Dec to 3nd Jan. More than 1 week notice required for cancellations or there will be no refund.

Group booking policy: While we make the greatest effort to place all guests of a single booking into the same room, this is not always possible. Group bookings (2 people or more) that are not made directly with the hostel, are not guarantee to be allocated to the same room. To avoid having a group split up, please book well in advance.

The building itself is a beautifully restored heritage building built in 1848 for a whaling boat captain and his 9 children! But don't be fooled by the fascade! The new block at the rear is more like motel style accommodation. So whether you're looking for dormitory beds at a budget or private rooms with ensuite, we've got what you want.

-Great location (located by Central Station, on the edge of the CBD with all major tourist areas within walking distance)

-Friendly staff

-Clean and spacious rooms

-Television, fridge and air-conditioning in every room (not many hostels in Sydney have this!)

I stayed at the accommodation for 10days. The staffs are very nice. They are very kind!!! The location is a little far from center of the city but it was a great walk through a park which is in front of the accommodation. I didn't like some Europeans who were very loud at night. They started party from 8pm and stayed up until 2am... They were shouting and knocking doors. I had to wake up early in the morning but I couldn't sleep at all because of them. I'm sure there are many people who couldn't sleep well. I want the accommodation to make their rules stricker about the party at a hall at night. Except it, I'm very satisfied of it!!

This was the first hostel I stayed in, in Australia. I'm glad b/c I didn't have any others to compare it to and realize the difference. It wasn't really good, nor was it really bad. The rooms were standard and clean. The common areas like the kitchen and bathrooms were pretty messy and in need of a remodel. As for the service, Val (the manager?) was pretty knowledgeable on the city and transportation. The problem was that he always seemed too busy help you with any of your questions or issues. It also felt pretty far from downtown Sydney and I ended up doing a lot of walking. The one nice thing is that they did offer free pickup from the airport with a 3 night stay.
